Some of the Causes we believe have transformed the communities around us in Kenya .

1. Scholarships

(The scholarships were achieved through the support of donors from outside the organization)

(I)      Benson Sulubu – The boy is now a second year in Nairobi university taking Mass Communication. By the time we took him his father was still alive but sickly. He later passed on living behind five orphans. We enrolled him back to school while he was in class five. He managed to get 399 marks and he joined Mukaa Boys in Machakos county where he managed to get a B plus of 72.

(II)     Kombe Baraka- He finished form four at Divine Word Boys four years ago and scored C+ now in Rongo University. Baraka is an orphan staying with his grand mother and first born in the family of five siblings.

(III) Peter Musyoka- who finished Rongai Boys five years ago and now pursuing bachelor of Economics & statistics. He has got both parents but due to their lifestyle of alcohol and less interest in education due to illiteracy level the boy had dropped school when he was in lower primary. The year 2011 he got support and he resumed to school.

2. Mentorship Programs

The year 2020 when Covid-19 reach Kenya, the schools were closed and children had to stay at home. After sometimes the students became bored and felt like life was losing meaning. The members felt the need at least to start psych spiritual lessons which were attended twice in a week. The age gap that was targeted was 12 years to 20 years. The turn up was very good, attendance was ranging between 40-50 students in a lesson. This was one of the greatest support the students got which we believe it will carry them even in the future as young adults.

3.Food Donation Programs

(This was achieved through the support of Aktion-Afrika 👉 their website link )

As a non-profit organization, our food donation program in Kenya focuses on providing assistance to vulnerable communities in need. We partner with local organizations and government agencies to identify areas of highest need and target our food assistance efforts accordingly.

4.Charity work

It’s always a privilege to be able to give back to the community and make a positive impact in the lives of others. That’s why we are sometimes thrilled to be a part of the charity work that provided sanitary pads to the school girls at Kanyole Primary School in Kambaa. It’s something small but it makes us happy at times . Many of them come from low-income families and cannot afford such basic necessities, which can greatly affect their education and overall well-being.

5.Counselling Cases

We have been having counseling sessions for groups and individuals depending on the issue. We had Grace Wairimu case who is now in form three. Due to family dispute the girl was about to commit suicide but the younger brother got in the house when she was about to hung herself. We have journeyed with the girl and she is already reformed.

6.Spiritual Formation/Sacraments

Most of the children when we start journeying with them come with no faith foundation. Mostly not been Baptist. With the parents’ or guardians’ consent most of them have received baptism and confirmation

Our Visit to Langata Women Remand

As St. Dominic Foundation Group, we were thrilled to have recently visited Langata Women Remand and donated some essential items to the women. We believe that it is our responsibility to give back to our community and support those in need.

During our visit to the Remand, we were touched by the stories of the women and the challenges they face on a daily basis. That’s why we were determined to make a difference by donating much-needed supplies to help improve their living conditions.

We are proud to have gone to the women at the Langata Women Remand and look forward to continuing our efforts to make a difference in our community.

Our donation included a variety of items such as sanitary towels, toiletries, Colgate toothpaste, and toothbrushes. As the Remand has a capacity of 350 people, we understand that these supplies will be put to good use and will greatly benefit those in need..

Food Donation in Eltepesi, Kajiado South, Kenya.

As members of St. Dominic Foundation, we recently had the opportunity to travel to Maasailand in Kajiado, Kenya. This area is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich culture, but unfortunately, it is also known for its lack of resources, particularly when it comes to food.

With the generous support of our donors (Aktion Afrika  👉 link), the St. Dominic Foundation was able to provide much-needed food to the people of Masailand. We brought variety of staples such as rice, beans, maize &wheat flour, Sugar, green grams, cooking oil and salt.

While there, we took the time to talk with the people and learnt more about their way of life. We listened to their stories, shared in their experiences of endless poverty due to bad climate in the area. It was a humbling experience that reminded us of the power of compassion and the importance of showing kindness and generosity to those in need. In it we also hope that our work will inspire others to do the same. May God bless the Aktion Afrika Friends for puting a “simple Smile” to this vulnerable community.

Our visit to Kajiado North, in Kajiado County, Kenya

We are excited to share that we visited Kajiado County for the second time for food donations. We also express our sincere gratitude to you, our donors, for your generosity, and to share with you the impact that your donations have had on the lives of the people here. As we distributed the food donations, we could see how much it meant to the people we were helping. It was clear that this donation would make a huge difference in their lives, providing them with the sustenance they needed to survive. Throughout our visit, we came to understand the crucial role that donations play in supporting vulnerable communities. Without this kind of assistance, these people would struggle to meet their basic needs and maintain their way of life. Seeing the impact of our donation firsthand was a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back and supporting those in need.

Our Future Plans at St. Dominic Foundation

We aspire to build a Christian School at the heart of Trans Nzoia County.

As we look to the future, our foundation is excited to announce our its vision to build a primary school in the heart of Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, a place where it is desperately needed. As an organization with strong emphasis on education, we believe that access to education is the key to unlocking a bright future for children and their communities, and this school will be that crucial step needed to bring a positive change to the area.
The idea of the school is more than just a building – it is a manifestation of our foundation’s commitment to bringing positive change through education. We believe that every child, no matter where they are born or what circumstances they face, has the right to a quality education that prepares them for a bright future.
We have scouted locations, designed the school layout, and worked with local leaders and community members to ensure that this school will be a valuable resource for the area. Here are some of the design imprints of the school.
And so, as we envision to build a primary school in the heart of Kitale., we are filled with determination to see this dream come to fruition.
